Battered but not beaten. Without power but not powerless. We stand strong. We stand together. We will persevere. -
Staying w/ friends in Harlem to escape the dead zone. Paying for our stay w/ pie, Mallomars & whiskey. The post-#Sandy economy is evolving.

#breezypoint anyone know what walks were destroyed in the fire? Or when we can go check on our house (or, gulp, our ashes)?

Having lost my home, and most of my possessions, in the flooding from Ivan in 2004, my heart aches for those going through that today.

I've hear of no offers from world leaders to seen relief personnel or funds to the US to help with the disaster recovery experienced by 1/3 of the US. Surely there have been offers made and international help is on its way. Thank goodness for this repayment of US past support to nations in need.

We're always rushing to help them whenever a disaster hits their country! It doesn't surprise me though. We should stop running to help when everyone else needs help because I sure don't see anyone helping US right now!

October 31 2012 at 6:58 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyLet us all be in prayer for everyone here and abroad. who has been inconvenienced by Sandy. May the businesses and the employees who were shut down and out of work find a way to make ends meet. May we look at this event as a time for global healing that we all may help in picking up the pieces and moving forward for a better world for all to live in. May the devastation remind us of how much we take fo granted and how little we actually need for survival. Let us rebuild and rekindle love peace as valuable commodities.
