This aerial photo shows burned-out homes in the Breezy Point section of the Queens borough New York after a fire on Tuesday. The tiny beachfront neighborhood was told to evacuate before Sandy hit New York, and then burned down as it was inundated by floodwaters.
A quaint corner of the Rockaways has now been transformed into a smoke-filled debris field.

It is amazing to see some of the houses that did not burn surrounded by two or three totally burned out homes. Sad to see such devastation that these nice people have to endure.

I strongly encourage you, God-fearing, or not, to check it out.

My God is not vengeful. He is the God who is inspiring us to help everyone touched by this calamity, not because we expect anything in return, but because it is the right and decent thing to do.

See that statue of the Holy Mother...the ONLY thing that survived all that devastation! May God have mercy on all who were affected by the fires...and bless the Mayor, fire fighters and anyone who tried to help!

The people that are in peril now are the ones that have helped all the sports players, movie and TV stars, Newspapers and magazines and so on make thier fortunes. It is not only the gov'ts duty to help rebuild but theirs to pay it forward and give back some of what they have. After all, it will be a tax write off if they are chincy enough to claim it.

October 31 2012 at 1:50 PM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyIf all the Hollywood Stars who gain their fortunes off these kind of folks, and pro sports players and TV and media super stars would all get off their wallets and donate, it would show an awesome display of payback and responsibility toward the US. The job belongs to ALL of us, not just the gov't.
