Watch: Northern Lights Dance Above Arctic Circle
See this stunning video capture the magic of Aurora BorealisThis stunning video footage shows the lights of the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, as they shine and shimmer over the Arctic Circle. The lights are caused when solar storms eject charged, colliding particles into the atmosphere, and peak cyclically, every 11 years. Astronomy experts expect the lights will reach their next apex between now and April 2013.
The lights tend to be more visible in certain northern hemisphere locations, like Greenland, Iceland, Finland, Sweden, Alaska and parts of Northern Canada.
