    A large storm system packing high winds, hail and at least two tornadoes tore across a wide swath of the South and Midwest on Wednesday, killing two people, knocking out power to thousands and damaging homes.

seattle and new york city were once under an ice sheet so thick and heavy the land under them was depressed below sea level. What melted all this ice? global warming of course. So, where would seattle and new york city be today if the earth did not rotate on a wobbly axis?
