Gee, who would have thought that an ACTIVE volcano would erupt, especially when it does it about ONCE A YEAR?!? Surprise! Active ones do that occasionally.

Actually, the three I would most worry about would be the one just outside Mexico City, Mt Vesuvius also next to a huge metropolitan area in Italy, and of course, our own Yellowstone Park!

What's that one on the Azores that could cause the biggest tsunami in history if it erupts? Causing several sq. miles of mountain to slide into the sea.

Their are three volcanos to watch out for. If they should erupt, things will definitely get hairy on the planet. I am sorry that I can no longer name them but, one is in south america and two, Etna, and Versuveous( sorry, not sure of the spelling). If these three erupt at the same time, it could send the world back into the stone age, or at best pretty close. The benefit of this natural calamity would be, the rich would be like everyone else and we would be able to elect individuals that would have the countries problems as a priority.

You might be thinking of Krakatoa, or more properly the volcano named 'Son of Krakatoa" in the south Pacific. However I can see no benefit to anyone from the eruption of these geological monsters, only misery for all affected.

Mount Etna is one of the world's most active volcanoes, with hardly a year going by without an eruption. These people should know better that a consequence of living by a constantly active volcano is that there will be eruptions that threaten life and property. They chose to live by the volcano, now they must suffer the consequences of it.

Time to load up the gondolas and resettle to Iceland; no wait they have volcanos there too, except they are called reykovolcaynics.
