It was exactly 44 years ago today that this cool photo was shot. In it, U.S. astronauts Charles "Pete" Conrad, Jr., and Albert Bean hone their Moon-rock collecting skills.
Dressed in their full space suits in a lab at the Kennedy Space Center, the Apollo 12 crew members used long-handled brushes and clamps to pick up the various-size (Earth) rocks to prep for their lunar mission.
It was probably a bit more tricky than one would expect -- and that's with the help of gravity.
