What Will the World Look Like When All the Ice Melts?

An interactive map from National Geographic shows how the Earth's coastlines would appear

What the World Will Look Like When All the Ice Melts
Many scientists believe that ocean levels are on the rise due to ice melt across the globe caused climate change. Currently 5 million cubic miles of ice exist on Earth; if global warming rates continue at their current pace, this volume is estimated to melt in 5,000 years. When this massive melt occurs, what will happen to world as we know it?

National Geographic has released an interactive map that shows what the Earth would look like if all its ice melted and sea levels were to rise some 216 feet. It's no surprise to discover that current coastlines as we know them would be obliterated, and shorelines would appear much further inland.

Florida - yup, the whole state - would disappear, as would cities like Los Angeles and London.

Folks, I'm neither right wing nor left wing (a breast man?) but I'm doing all I can with this global warming business to try and save the world, at least our part of it, the northern hemisphere. We all know that the world is in the middle of an interglacial period. The ice is coming. The article stated something about 5000 years there would be no ice left. I hope for north america's sake that's correct. Them glaciers will just shove everything up north down into the gulf of Mexico. Let Flordia drown. Better them than the good folks in New York City being scraped right out into the Atlantic. Then again, that might not be too bad either.

I have had a very vivid reincarnation regression with a psychologist/hypnotist. WE will be returning over and over and will be made to deal with anything that WE have caused.

Recently in the news, "Global Warming" "Experts" traveled on a ship to view the "great melting" of the ice iin Antartica--certain they would see very little "disappearing" ice--but instead, there was so much ice, that their ship got stuck in it--!! And they asked a Chinese ship to pull them out of the ice--but then, the Chinese ship also got stuck in the ice--so then, they called on the US to pull them from the ice--! So instead of very little ice on the sea, they not only saw massive amounts of thick ice, but became stuck in it! These were the "Global Warmning Experts"! And so, even if the earth gets cooler--they cry "Global Warming!" Their cries of "Global Warming" is a "one size fits all" falacious argument based upon ignorance. An astronomer recently told me that the earth has had periods of warming & cooling cycles for millions of years--and millions of years ago, we had no cars, factories, coal plants, etc. to blame it on. He told me that these periods of warming & cooling over millenia, are really caused by the distance of the earth from the sun--and that distance has kept (and still keeps) changing in cycles--which are the real cause of the earth's climate's periods of warming and cooling. In fact, a Newsweek mag. cover in the 1970's (when the climate cooled) had the headline: "The Coming Ice Age." It's a shame that people with a political agenda utilize these cooling and warming periods to advance their own political agenda. Plus- carbon dioxide is a natural substance produced by millions of trees and vegetation world-wide at night, when they take a break from their daytime photosynthesis--which when daylight comes, produces oxygen. So much of the earth's CO2 is produced by the world's trees/vegetation-so what next--cut down all the trees???! All mammals take in oxygen and breath out CO2--do we now eliminate them (including humans) too--for the sake of "Global Warming.?" We had a mini ice age in the 1830's. Which then warmed. The Dark Ages was so called because a global cooling in Europe destroyed many crops, causing starvation and plague. The earth then warmed up in the 1400's, which increased food supply, and the birth of the Rennaisance. It's time the "Global Warming" faction woke up to reality, and cease its psuedo science for their own agenda--which is to control massive populations--what kind of light bulbs, toilets, etc. we are permitted to use. While Al Gore's massive house is said to use more energy--electricity, etc. in one month than a hundred or more ordinary homes.

Al Gore won't worry, he'll just buy a bigger home and jet. He'll fix it as long as he can make money off it.
